Peruvian by birth and artist by profession. Co-founder of La Plume. A free soul within the world of art, painting and design. She is guided by her artistic instinct to create a design for each garment, also creating each print using her own brushes, paints and everything he has in his workshop. Luciana shared her inspiration and vision with Ximena, who quickly saw the potential of the business. Together they decided to combine her knowledge and turn her ideas into a dream come true.

Peruvian by birth and communicator by profession. Luciana’s sister and partner. Co-founder of la Plume since 2016. She decided to leave the corporate world behind when she found in her brand the way to make the lives of others more comfortable and relaxed, the opportunity to create beautiful designs in a comfortable garment that promote confidence by dressing and a more relaxed lifestyle at bedtime. LA PLUME
La Plume was born in Peru out of the need to find pijamas that combine good quality and design to provide comfort at any time of the day. We started making pijamas just for women; women with the desire to always feel good, independent and empowered. Today we have a category for men and girls, as well as other accessories to use at home such as robes, lingerie, masks, scrunchies, and a small category of ceramics.
In this way, we created the brand in 2016 with the aim of being pioneers in design and manufacturing with 100% peruvian supplies to bring the world a high-quality product, with a unique and modern style.
We aim to provide tranquility, comfort and well-being for a good rest at bedtime. For this reason, we have focused on using the best fabrics such as pima cotton for greater softness, modal for a good drape, viscose for maximum freshness, rib cotton, french terry cotton, and we also use a blend of pima cotton with modal to achieve greater softness in our garments. Our customers are important for us, so we want them to recognize us for the quality of our products and to be always happy with what they use.
We make each collection from scratch. From the weaving of various fabrics, the design of each of our models and the hand-painted prints we create.
We like to believe that each pijama is a piece of art inspired in the world and in life. For this reason, the nature of different places has been the greatest source of inspiration for our collections, with the flora and fauna of Peru being one of the main ones.

THE PROCESS
From the day we started La Plume, we have been involved in each of the processes that implicate creating our products. From finding the best materials, through the design of our prints and the manufacturing, making sure we have the product we want.
We always start every process with a mood board in order to collect the information that we need on trends, pantones, and images of our own experiences that are our main source of inspiration. This is how our prints for each collection are born. They are all drawn by hand, then digitalized and finally printed on the fabric, making this a unique fabric for our products.
All of our fabrics go through a special washing and drying process to provide greater softness and drape, to reduce shrinkage and, above all, to give a luxury finish to the final product. We work with very trustworthy people, who have been growing and learning with us. Without them we would not have become what we are today. It is a teamwork, a lot of dedication and above all a lot of love and passion.
HANDMADE PRINTS
Each print starts with a mix of colors on a piece of cardboard. From the beginning, we wanted to make our own fabrics and our own designs and prints. The desire to translate what we had in mind into products was only possible if we started creating and painting with passion. This is how each of our prints are born, so we can give you something special made with love.
Once the print is ready, we digitalize it to be able to do draw and color test on the chosen fabrics. Important: be clear about the color combination and the pantones as a reference.
Once the samples are approved, we are ready to start printing the fabrics of our production. We go to the final format and each fabric is printed in serigraphy mode. First step is ready!
Time to go to the next step to stabilize the fabric, wash and soften. Each fabric goes through a washing and softening process to reduce shrinkage, give them an even softer feel for a luxurious finish.
Voila! Once the fabrics have gone through these processes, we are ready for cutting and sewing.

Peruvian pima cotton
Considered the finest cotton in the world for its softness, durability and resistance thanks to its long fibers. It is harvested in an artisan way, achieving a greater purity. It is also hypoallergenic and thermoregulable, adapting to different body temperatures. It adapts to different seasons.
Within its different varieties of fabric, we use jersey, for its versatility and drape, interlock, for the most compact and resistant fabric, rib, for its lightness and breathability, and three threaded french terry, for its versatility.
