HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR LA PLUME PRODUCTS

A good material is essential if we want to have a “high end” product. That is why one of our priorities is to work with very good quality fabrics. We give them a special wash before they are ready to wear to give them greater softness, reduce shrinkage and have a luxury finish, which will prolong the life of our products. In addition, printed fabrics go through heat-setting at high temperatures to ensure that the colors last for a long period of time. Our garments are made to the highest possible standards. Everything goes through quality control before being delivered as a finished product.

* The care of each product can be found on the pages of each one in particular. However, we want to give you some suggestions to maintain the quality and longer life of all products.

Note: La Plume is not responsible for damage caused by not following the care and washing instructions.

COTTON

  • Use mild detergents. Clothes made of cotton are usually more resistant, but they lose color with each wash if the detergent is too strong or aggressive.
  • Important always prewash. It is better to attend to stains of the moment and not wait for a long time to pass, on many occasions cotton tends to stain easily.
  • Use the necessary power. Try to always wash in delicate if it is in a washing machine. In this way, unnecessary damage to the garment is avoided.
  • Take care of the water temperature. Cotton garments should be washed in warm or cold water. Excess temperature can fade and even shrink your garments.
  • If possible, we still recommend hand washing.
  • Do not put the garments in the dryer. If necessary, only in delicate mode.
  • Dry naturally, outdoors.

VISCOSE

  • Viscose garments are washed at a maximum temperature of 30°C, as delicate as possible if it is machine washed.
  • It is recommended to wash together with other garments so that the washing machine drum does not damage the fabric, since it is delicate and thin.
  • We recommend: hand wash. Hand wash the garment in cold or warm water at a maximum of 20°C.
  • Do not put the garments in the dryer. If necessary, only in delicate mode.
  • Dry naturally, outdoors
  • Iron inside out, use an iron in a damp state and with an ironing cloth for more precaution.
  • Do not use the steam function on the iron, it can shrink the garment.

MODAL

  • Liquid detergent is always better than powder for any type of washing.
  • Use a medium wash cycle. Use warm water, 30-40 degrees, this fabric has a high durability to water.
  • Do not put the garments in the dryer. If necessary, only in delicate mode.
  • If it is mixed with cotton, it may need to be ironed, especially in pijamas. Iron on the opposite side of the fabric to avoid marks. If possible, put a fabric on top so that the iron does not have direct contact with the garment.
  • Do not use an excessively high temperature.

KNIT WEAR

  • Washing machine is not recommended.
  • Wash each garment individually and avoid leaving them soaking for a long time. That may unshape the garment
  • It is recommended to use detergents with neutral PH, or mild and not very aggressive.
  • Recommended to air dry.
  • Never exert pressure on the wet or dry garment, it can deform.
